About this event

JDRF is hosting our national monthly Peer Support meet-up for Adults and Parents in the T1D community, the 4th Wednesday of each month! This virtual meetup for both adults living with T1D and parents living with or affected by T1D was created to form new connections, and engage in conversations across provincial lines. We will be hosting rooms for the T1D community in English at12PM PT and both French and English at 7PM ET

To participate, you will need to have a computer, tablet or phone with a webcam and internet/data connection. If you are not able to connect with video, you can join by phone only. Registration is required for this free event, and for you to receive your link to your chosen session.

Our Peer Support Series is part of JDRF Canada's Peer Support Program.

For over 40 years, JDRF has been a global leader in the search for an end to type 1 diabetes (T1D), through both research funding and advocacy. During that time, we have always talked about a cure as a singular destination: a return to normal physiology.

But today, we realize that we are engaged in a process of curing T1D – that a cure is not just a destination but also a journey along a path. And we recognize that a part of our mission must be to help those living with T1D today to live healthier, easier, and safer lives until we arrive at the end of that path.
